ANALYSIS OF PUBLIC POLICIES AimED AT AGRICULTURE AND SUSTAINABLE SOIL MANAGEMENT, AT THE FEDERAL SCOPE AND IN THE STATE OF PIAUÍ IN THE LAST 15 YEARS

Abstract

Public policies (PPs) are understood as the set of government actions and programs, where these actions must be integrated and idealized with the objective of having some social impact or provision of goods to society, environmental public policies must go beyond the management of resources to protect the natural environment. To verify public policies related to sustainable soil management (SSM) and encouraging and strengthening family farming (FF) as an environmental management alternative (EM) applied to agricultural production in the state of Piauí, the investigation was divided into three scopes: Federal , State (Piauí) and Municipal (Teresina), the established time period was the last 15 years: 2008 to 2023, as an object of study there is a documentary analysis of these policies. The study found that in the last 15 years, from 2008 to 2023, a total of 47 public policies aimed at sustainable soil management and encouraging family farming were implemented. In view of the survey and the data presented, it was observed that there were few public policies aimed at sustainable soil management and family farming. The federal scope stands out with the number of policies implemented compared to the scope of the state of Piauí and the municipality of Teresina.
